Properties of the resting membrane, whole-cell currents, and action potentials recorded from nonfluorescent neurons (NF, control) and from fluorescent neurons (F, receiving AS) at 1 d in culture. Fluorescent cells were assigned to the AS* category when mean values were different by >2 sd from values for NF controls in the same culture dish. The rest were placed in the AS category. Values are mean ± SEM for (n) neurons from ≥3 experiments. NS, Not significantly different.
